All of you “Who the hell is Chance the Rapper?” crew can just accept that there are large sections of music that you don’t know about, and that it’s not a thing to be proud of.
Yeah, if it was any number of, say, country music megastars I would have no idea who it was, but I don’t know why I’d basically brag about it on a forum.
I can tell from this thread we have lots of olds here (says an old who actually knows who Chance is)…

It’s not so much that I consider myself an old (although not certainly slowing down). I’m just not a rap guy.
I’m also technically ‘an old’, and I also still know who Chance the Rapper is; though I’m more familiar with his social activism than I am with his music.
I don’t listen to hip hop or rap but i do keep tabs on a number of people that have ties to those genres. So i’m familiar with Chance The Rapper by association through other people and i’ve always heard people talk about him with excitement and love.
I’m oldER, I admit it. But I don’t care. I don’t like rap either and I don’t care. But I do like to yell at clouds.
