or honestly…Dreamweaver auto fills most of them.

You can also use the !utf8 bang command in DuckDuckGo:

Another quick one is CopyPasteCharacter. I find it faster, and the quick drill-down search without page reload, coupled with auto-copy on highlight, are nice little touches.

I find it annoying that I can never find a nice list of alt-codes when I need one. Not that alt-codes necessarily work consistently from one application to another.
