Sire we hear a cliking sound, but what are they saying?
“AAAAAGH! I’m stuck in the body of a sting ray! Why have the gods punished me so? Why? WHHHYYYYYYYYYYY???”
I recently watched Moana for the first time, so now I think that a stingray sounds like the grandmother from that movie.
In Germany, where dogs bark “vow vow”
No. “Wau, wau!” And Wauwau is a synonym for (small-ish) dogs in general.

Eh, close enough. Frogs go “quaaak”, ducks go “quack-quack-quack”. The technical term is “schnattern”.

Manta rays don’t have stingers.
But the movie really reinforced what good singers crabs are, which we already knew.
In Finnish kukkokiekuu (literally “rooster crows” [crow as to make the sound of a rooster), dog goes hau, vuh or something, cat goes miau, cow goes ammuu or muu, cuckoo says kukkuu.
Seems less like communication and more like echolocation.
But, you know, whatever gets you the most… CLICKS
I do a mean rooster imitation, but trying to write it out would never work; it would just be a string of vowels.
