Interesting! I love learning about the history of the mundane, like clothing.
More recently, I’ve been told by designers that most mass-produced clothes (typically made in Asia) use Asian body models, and that’s why nothing fits my freakishly long Anglo torso the way I would like. And by that, I mean by covering it.

Yes and no. You can tell that there is still a difference, if you ever get an item that was meant to be sold in an Asian market. (Discount stores like TJ Maxx get them sometimes.)
