I ask because I have a Cr48 Chromebook. It was slow when it came out but it’s been puttering along pretty well. I really should get a hardware decoder card for it and a new sad, but ‘it is old that money can go to better hardware.’ It really is a shame the chip is ball grid array and thus not replaceable by mere mortals.
So far been using an Ubuntu lxde variant called peppermint (I like the default look better than lubuntu and has a neat thing that easily makes specific sites into single use browser windows using Firefox or chrome. However I suspect I might could squeeze more out of it I dunno.
