In fact, I can’t say that I’ve ever gotten ice cream at a McDonald’s.

Why not just replace the machines with another company’s tech? Are Taylor machines the only ones out there that pump out ice cream?

McD’s corporate has some kind of deal with Taylor and franchisees are mostly forbidden to use other machines. Taylor has these completely bogus clauses in the contract that require a field mechanic to come out and reset the machine, there are never enough techs to get it done and each visit costs a bundle. Some one is rolling in cash from this but it sure ain’t the guy running the restaurant.
