What a bizarre and thoughtless statement.
My mother was a social worker for years, and she, her coworkers, and their clients all found their work rewarding and valuable.

Not really, no. Maybe the cartoon version of social workers. But good lord this couldn’t be further from the truth.

I thought it would be because of the shit pay for a sometimes thankless job. “Social Workers of the World Unite” kind of stuff.
