Why motorcyclists crash

What does that even mean? Too heavy. My first bike was a Harley FLH. Never dropped it. Next was a much lighter Honda street/trail bike, dropped multiple times. Now I have a moped, we’ll see.

Heavy bikes are hard to recover, but they have upsides too. Same for fit. A sport bike tends to have a higher seat, but that is for aerodynamics and ground clearance at speed. It is a tradeoff that sacrifices low speed agility.

If I see a joker on the road with improper gear, or outriding their ability, I wince and know what’s coming and no amount of light and seat height is all that relevant.
