Why (or why not) to vote for Hillary Clinton

Oh yeah, where ‘Patriotism’ = blind authoritarianism.

Vote for Hillary because you miss Bush! (Oh come on, you know you do.)

A cozy moment at Nancy Reagan’s funeral

Yeesh. One thing I really liked about Mark Latham, who briefly led the Labor Party here, was how much he fucking despised the other mob.

Why vote for Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton?

Because to date in her race against Bernie Sanders for the democratic presidential nomination, Hilary has shown to be the candidate that has the overwhelming support of the more diverse democratic voting electorate. Hillary has amassed a impressive lead in the categories of elected delegates, super delegates and popular vote.

Hillary had a unexpected big night this past Tuesday, as she swept all five democratic presidential primaries (Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, Illinois, and Missouri) that were in contention.

Despite being in the lead at this point of the democratic presidential nomination process, the race against Bernie Sanders is by no means over—and every elected delegate, super delegate and popular vote still counts!:scream:

Why vote for Hillary, because Bernie Sanders is entering a portion of the democratic presidential primary schedule (Arizona primary, and caucuses in Idaho, Utah, Alaska and Hawaii) that favor Bernie Sanders.

Whoever wins the democratic presidential primary–will in my opinion, go on to be the 45th President of the United States.

One of the things that makes the Democratic Party special is the diversity among its voting electorate, elected officials and party leadership.

There is no greater example of this than being the political party that gave America its first president of African ancestry–and now having a female and a Jewish-American as the two remaining candidates vying for the democratic presidential nomination.

Vote for Hillary :girl: in 2016

Because it looks like it will be her or Trump? That’s about it.

She’s a tool.

Did you doctor the photo?

I know Hillary is subconscious about her hair–but the hairline of George W. Bush in this photo makes him look like the clown of a president he was–i.e. “Bozo the Clown”

Video of George W. Bush aka “Bozo the Clown” interrogating children.

So we should vote for Mrs Clinton because a lot other people have? No thanks. Just because Dems are more diverse than Republiclowns doesn’t mean they’re necessarily more informed. I’m all for diversity, but voting merely for the sake of it strikes me as extremely simplistic thinking. You do know what a monster Margaret Thatcher was, I hope? Hillary’s actions show that she wouldn’t be much better.

Did you doctor the photo?

No. Her coziness with that asshole is just another hint that she’s one too. As is her love of superkiller Kissinger.

This seems to be the exact post I just saw in a different Trump thread.

Because voting for a corrupt, amoral corporatist warmonger is marginally less destructive than voting for an ignorant fascist?

Well the desired outcome and only way you win an election “is to get the vote of a whole lot of other people.”

Remember Bernie Sanders cited former president Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) as a example of leadership. FDR courted the vote of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK), appointed a KKK member to the U.S. Supreme Court, did not support or advocate for anti-lynching laws, allowed economic exploitation and brutal sharecropping laws (de-facto slavery), was commander in chief over a segregated military, campaigned for and won the racist and bigoted southern segregationist vote.

After Jesse Owens won four gold medals in Germany in 1936, FDR refused to invite Jesse Owens to the White House or even acknowledge his athletic accomplishments. Jesse Owens is famously quoted saying:

“Hitler didn’t snub me—it was [FDR] who snubbed me. The president didn’t even send me a telegram.”

Remember when it came to foreign policy while America and the Allied Forces were fighting and defeating Hitler, stopping him from carrying out genocide through the use of military force to take over foreign land and engage in economic exploration–FDR, Great Britain, France, The Netherlands, New Zealand etc, were in the height of hypocrisy–engaging in the same thing as they colonized and engaged in genocide in Africa.

winning isn’t everything; it’s the only thing

The majority of democratic voters in the millions, elected delegates and super delegates to date disagree with your assessment of Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton.

Especially when it comes to electing a democrat to the White House in 2016.

The composition and direction of the U.S. Supreme Court is to important for the future of women’s rights, LGBT rights, civil rights, voting rights, campaign finance reform, immigration reform, etc…a democrat must name the next several U.S. Supreme Court justices.

Either Hillary or Bernie would be the better choice over any republican. Democrats who are truly concerned about the direction of our country, will support whoever the democratic presidential nominee is Hillary or Bernie.

You’re being ridiculous. Those are obviously not actions by FDR that Bernie was referring to.

The FDR question was about leadership.

Bernie seems to have every conceivable excuse when his voting record reveals he has not always been the purest and most perfect liiberal and progressive.

In 2006 Bernie Sanders voted with Republicans for indefinite detention for undocumented immigrants, and vigilante hunters called "Minutemen " whose job was to hunt down immigrants trying to cross the southern border. This is not a example of good leadership. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2016/mar/10/hillary-clinton/hillary-clinton-says-bernie-sanders-supported-minu/

Bernie voted to deregulate Wall Street. http://www.cnn.com/2016/01/17/politics/bernie-sanders-wall-street-deregulation-debate/

Former president Bill Clinton has admitted he made a mistake in signing the 2000 “Commodity Futures Modernization Act” into law. Bernie Sanders has tried to portray himself as the archetypal, ultimate and consummate liberal and progressive; to the extent that he seems incapable of admitting he made a mistake or has evolved on a particular issue. This is not a good example of leadership.

Bernie Sanders co-sponsored, ushered through and voted for legislation to dump low level nuclear waste in a poor Hispanic/Latino community in Texas, instead of the predominantly white state of Vermont, the state Bernie represented and still represents. This is not a good example of leadership. http://www.cnn.com/2016/01/17/politics/bernie-sanders-wall-street-deregulation-debate/

Bernie has voted against gun control legislation-- and in the 2006 Vermont Senate debate stated: same-sex marriage should be a “states rights” issue with states deciding whether same-sex couples can marry. These are not good examples of leadership.

Bernie Sanders is not the pure and always liberal and progressive he claims to be. Bernie like many in the Democratic Party when it comes to social issues has evolved over the years to the correct position on social issues.

I’m not sure why you continue to troll for a bought and sold Neoliberal politician and use it to justify someone who actually HAS walked the talk for supporting civil rights for his entire adult life.

Are you paid by the word?

October 2006: Clinton told a group of gay elected officials that she would support same-sex marriage in New York if a future governor and Legislature chose to enact such a law.

“I support states making the decision,” she said.

Same time, same position, and yet you’re burning Bernie for it and not Clinton?
