Why (or why not) to vote for Hillary Clinton

Thanks

You donā€™t care!

That may be fine for you but, Bernie Sanders is running to win the ā€œDemocratic Partyā€ nomination for president. Bernie had better start ā€œcaringā€ about supporting down ticket democrats if he has any hopes of winning over the required superdelegates he will need to secure the democratic presidential nomination.

You posted: ā€œBecause it is the will of the people in their stateā€

First, Bernie must take the lead in elected superdelegates and the popular vote; something I donā€™t see happening.

Second, the will of the people will eventually be cemented when Hillary secures the required elected delegates and pledged superdelegates, to go along with the majority of the popular vote, thus becoming the 2016 democratic presidential nominee; something I see happening.

Enjoy the predicted win in the Wyoming democratic caucus today.

I still donā€™t care.

Yes, yes, Sanders is a terrible Democrat.

He should be running as an independent.

Do you want him to run as an independent?

Is that really what you want? :open_mouth:

You donā€™t need to have commented on a site to make a grassroots, practical and common sense political point.

In reply to your commentary, channelling Bernie Sanders and his recent flare up over Hillary being qualified to be president:

In other words you seem to me to be saying ā€“ ā€œquote-unquoteā€ politics are local and winning political contests requires money.

As passionate as you are with you opinions, which I may disagree, :pensive: but respect:

I find that hard to believe

No, he** no :scream:

Bernie has indicated he would not do that :fearful:

That would mean the President of the United States would be Donald Trump :weary:

He also won a primary in Wisconsin a few days ago. So much for the caucus theory.

Any new reasons to vote for HRC (not a prediction)?

Sheā€™s the bestest ever and completely not in the pocket of all of those rich Wall Street folks and fellow plutocrats (unlike Sanders!).

There are plenty of other social, cultural and political reasons.

As you know Hillary is not a democratic presidential candidate that marks every social, cultural and political issue by drifting and digression into the much needed and important topics of income inequality and Wall Street reform.

If provided with another reason will you vote for Hillary? :hushed:

Not if you give me another reason to vote for Sanders! The one you give is certainly not a reason to vote for Clinton.

Iā€™ve already voted in our caucus. If she wins the primary and Cruz is the GOP candidate then I will almost surely vote for her in the general. If Trump wins then it depends on whether Clinton stays on her current message or makes a turn back to the right. It would help if she would disavow that nutcase in her campaign who keeps making racist statements.

He also won the primaries in Vermont, Oklahoma, and Michigan. However the caucus theory is based correct or incorrect, on the fact that eleven, soon to be twelve (the Wyoming Caucus is tomorrow) of his wins have come in caucus states.

Now who is the nutcase that keeps making racist comments that would cause you to vote for a candidate like Donald Trump?

Trump a republican presidential candidate who has had white supremacist working in his campaign, originally did not disavow the Ku Klux Klan, lied about not knowing who David Duke; a former leader of the Ku Klux Klan was, has made racist and xenophobic comments about immigrants, was a leader in the birther movement to delagetimize President Obamaā€“and has referred to African-Americans as ā€œThe Blacks.ā€

Donald Trump Quotes~

http://gawker.com/the-collected-quotes-of-donald-trump-on-the-blacks-1719961925

ā€œI have a great relationship with the blacks. Iā€™ve always had a great relationship with the blacks."

ā€œA well-educated black has a tremendous advantage over a well-educated white in terms of the job market. I think sometimes a black may think they donā€™t have an advantage or this and thatā€¦ Iā€™ve said on one occasion, even about myself, if I were starting off today, I would love to be a well-educated black, because I believe they do have an actual advantage.ā€™ā€™

ā€œBlack guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day.ā€

ā€œLaziness is a trait in blacks.ā€

More on Donald Trump~

According to a book written by former Trump Plaza Hotel & Casino president John R. Oā€™Donnell, the real estate mogul once said in 1991 that ā€œLaziness is a trait in blacks.ā€ He was allegedly referring to a black accountant working for Trump Plaza, and added, ā€œā€œBlack guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day.ā€ The kicker is that Trump, in a 1999 Playboy magazine interview, did not even deny saying those things. He admitted Oā€™Donnellā€™s allegations were ā€œprobably true,ā€ but insisted it didnā€™t matter because he was obviously a disgruntled employee.

I wholeheartedly agree with you about Hillary, but I vehemently disagree with you about Bernie.:smirk:

I donā€™t know why you actually want to vote for a business as usual, center right democrat who is pro-business, pro-war, and in tight with the elites. Iā€™d love to hear why you think this makes her a good choice.

Hillary or Bernie are by far a better choice over any republican.

I do not think she is center right or corrupt.

We have a difference of opinion regarding Hillary, you are well entrenched in your opinion of Hillary that will not change despite what any Hillary supporter says.

I know whoever wins the democratic presidential nomination; I will support and vote for the democratic presidential nominee (Bernie or Hillary), over whoever the republican presidential nominee is.

Heā€™s a nutcase I voted for twice in the 90s. Now heā€™s working hard to make me regret that. Heā€™s also the guy who encouraged Trump to take a big role this campaign cycle. Surely you know who Iā€™m talking about.

As for Trump, I donā€™t think he believes in anything except Trump, and when he speaks he just says whatever he thinks will help Trump at that moment. I will have to decide whether to support someone who says despicable things but probably doesnā€™t mean them, or someone who says all the right things and possibly doesnā€™t mean them.

Which is exactly why the superdelegates are to be excoriated: theyā€™re fucking over the partyā€™s chances of victory in order to keep sucking fatcat cock, as if itā€™s some kind of obscure secret that Bernie would easily win while Clinton will struggle.

Eh, Iā€™m split. On the one hand you have the ā€œwill of the peopleā€, but on the other hand political parties are specifically designed to end run around some of that.

At the end of the day political parties represent codified things and are obligated to protect their established image. At the very least they need to be seen as actively shepherding any changes.
