Why some movies and TV shows now have a strange "yellow tint"

How about a film about Vietnam that focuses on the vietnamese?

American empire has done a shit load of damage to the world, for no real reason. And hollywood has done a bang up job at helping in that cover up.

Maybe it’s just something to be aware of? There is no doubt that hollywood has often provided propaganda for the US government. Why would that change now?

And then we went COLOUR! (Not color!!)
Which also accounts for a significant amount of the difference. Our ‘colour’ was bigger than theirs.

Ok - I have absolutely no idea what on earth that was all about but it sure looked fun!

Indeed.

It’s a 2004 parody of a series of films from the 1960ies, based on the crime novels Edgar Wallace had turned out on a weekly basis in the 1920ies.
The 1960ies films already have their own dose of weirdness (Klaus Kinski was in a lot of them) and self-parody; the 2004 film distills all that and puts it into overdrive.

Thanks.
If you enjoy Edgar Wallace - and parodies of same - try this. Sound is a bit spotty (outdoor theatre) but worth sticking with. Edgar Wallace is the main character here.

I take a guess and say that the feeling is mutual.

incidentally, some of Nosferatu’s frames are tinted yellow, but a brief scrub through of birth of the nation reveals only blue, green and purple tints.

Fallout New Vegas also has this problem. 3 had a green tint over everything and NV put a yellow/orange. Thankfully there are mods to fix it.

Eh. I think that while The Birth of a Nation certainly qualifies as propaganda, I don’t see it as propaganda “for the US government”.

It was the first movie ever shown in the White House. Wilson [1] arranged a special screening.

It’s also where Hollywood got its start as the focus of American film making. The film was hugely popular (and profitable) in both north and south.

Confederate propaganda is as American as apple pie. The Confederacy lost the war but won the peace.

.

[1] Wilson was a prominent pro-Confederacy historian before becoming President. His writings are actually quoted in Birth of a Nation.

I really love the Netflix show Ozark, but holy cow are they heavy-handed with the green filter on that one. Maybe overcompensating for the plague of orange and teal?

Most of the way through season 1, but yeah… But at least they keep it consistent? Chicago is the same tint as Missouri (which is, of course, GA).
