How about a film about Vietnam that focuses on the vietnamese?
American empire has done a shit load of damage to the world, for no real reason. And hollywood has done a bang up job at helping in that cover up.
Maybe it’s just something to be aware of? There is no doubt that hollywood has often provided propaganda for the US government. Why would that change now?
It’s a 2004 parody of a series of films from the 1960ies, based on the crime novels Edgar Wallace had turned out on a weekly basis in the 1920ies.
The 1960ies films already have their own dose of weirdness (Klaus Kinski was in a lot of them) and self-parody; the 2004 film distills all that and puts it into overdrive.
Thanks.
If you enjoy Edgar Wallace - and parodies of same - try this. Sound is a bit spotty (outdoor theatre) but worth sticking with. Edgar Wallace is the main character here.
incidentally, some of Nosferatu’s frames are tinted yellow, but a brief scrub through of birth of the nation reveals only blue, green and purple tints.
I really love the Netflix show Ozark, but holy cow are they heavy-handed with the green filter on that one. Maybe overcompensating for the plague of orange and teal?
