I looked up Sweden’s system of jurisprudence, and it seems that they have lay judges.

Criticizing that as “non-liberal” would be non-trivial and potentially enlightening.

It’s aimed at American supporters of Assange and WikiLeaks who don’t know enough about Sweden, or other countries with different justice systems etc. than America, to make Sweden look extra shady. Misleading propaganda that lies by the omission of context, basically.
