Apparently the Faroe Islands have got wind turbines. I wonder how they fare in such a hostile environment?

I hope Godzilla is okay. He’s basically King of Faroe Island since he whipped Kong’s butt.

The big killer for turbines isn’t excessive wind, it’s dust.

The one they installed at Coober Pedy died within a year or so; totally fucked bearings.

OTOH, it seems likely that there was a touch of Simpsons Monorail involved in the contract to install and maintain the thing.
