Spelling brand names with an initial X is always fraught with danger. There was a tech startup about fifteen years ago - I don’t even remember what they did or made - called “Xoom”. They obviously wanted people to pronounce it “zoom”, but it looked more like “exhume” to me. I guess I wasn’t the only one, because the only Xoom I can find now is a money-transfer service - definitely not the same company I can just barely remember.
All of that is preface to: they say “zode”; I read “choad”.
