This is important to point out. Without ACA I literally would not be able to have health insurance. ACA is hugely expensive to the government. And single payer would be even more expensive.
Focussing on spending less is not the priority. There are surely folks on the right waving this graph around as evidence that ACA went too far and is too expensive. Everyone is correct of course that we are paying too much. But the only fat to trim is the gristly grift of the middlemen who have captured the regulators and lawmakers.
Getting better outcomes is the true priority. Single payer now damn the cost.

Sorry; none of that is worth a shit if states can purge all Democrats from the voter rolls and let the legislature choose the winners when even mass voter suppression fails.
The voting rights acts under consideration in Congress are existential for the continuation of democracy in America. Full stop. .
