Another great (semi-)cover of Smooth Criminal (and Owner of a Lonely Heart):

We need a Wow emoji.

That is fantastic, and made me realize that other than Butthole Surfer’s American Woman there just aren’t that many quality covers of Guess Who songs. Found a good one for Share the Land but OMG that song

The Rock Hall posted this a couple days ago.

And of course Paul Shaffer is leading the band.

Love both covers, but my favourite is still Bioshock Infinite version, made by Scott Bradlee before creating Postmodern Jukebox. They made a new version a few years ago.

Tragically, the Muppet Show never covered it :sob:

Here’s a nice cover for Matthew Perry.

I love the Unthanks and their version of Alfie Benge and Robert Wyatt’s “lullaby for Hamza” is depressingly current. Yet again.

I’m pretty partial to this version by Élage Diouf

Now I have an urge to write the ghost of Ali Farka Touré to do a cover of it.

If you do, share it. I’m a sucker for fusion music

Meanwhile, a random selection of covers I enjoyed recently.
Niebla del riachuelo, cover by Bebo Valdés and Diego “El Cigala”

The blaydon races by Fear of Drinking (the rest of the album is also great  )

All is part of being a pirate, by El Pony Pisador
(because you can’t be a pirate with all of the parts!)

Kids in america covered by Brokken Roses. Found it because I was looking for a “more dwarfy” (ie: with more “heys” and “hos”) version of the son
