This was just on the radio.
Didn’t know it was a cover.
Yvonne Fair - It should have been me.

Originally performed by Kim Weston with The Supremes on backing vocals.

I wanted to upload it directly but seems the BBS doesn’t support it.

Lou Dalfin, an occitan / piamontese folk singer, whose speciality is the Hurdy Gurdy, playing “Bella Ciao”. Recorded during his concert the last saturday

(I wish I had like 25% of the energy this guy has  )

Even if I didn’t know it was an antifascist anthem, I would know it from that performance.

The rest of the performance was with the same energy: I left the concert wanting (even more than usual) to kick the crap out of the system. I will upload more videos later to my profile but will be shorter and with the same crappy quality: I was enjoying the concert too much to care

This song seems to get covered a lot but nobody has posted this version yet (as far as I saw). Very different arrangement at the beginning!

From the same album, another Beatles cover:

Definitely my preferred version of this song.

Usually, with this type of cover song, I can “hear” the original underneath the new genre. But not this one. It’s like a completely different song. And I think I kinda like it.

Cross-posted from the music thread by @sqlrob! An excellent cover of Thunderstruck as Gaeilge!

They also did Zombie (the Cranberries song, not the Fela song):

And sounds of silence…
