I was reading those books while waiting for my flu shot a few years ago :-/
Just finished a BBc podcast on Mad Cow disease it the UK and it finished off with a nod to the Zombie Deer in NA. Worth a listen to the 15 min episodes (10 in total) BBC Radio 4 - The Cows Are Mad
That’s better than when I was reading The Moon is a Harsh Mistress while sitting in the data processing center in the Cheyenne Mountain Complex.
“Various studies have indicated prions (PrPSC) that infect sheep and goats with the fatal transmissible encephalopathy known as scrapie, are able to persist in soil for years without losing their pathogenic activity.[36] Dissemination of prions into the environment can occur from several sources: mainly, infectious placenta or amniotic fluid of sheep and possibly environmental contamination by saliva or excrement.
…
Natural transmission of scrapie in the field seems to occur via the alimentary tract in the majority of cases, and scrapie-free sheep flocks can become infected on pastures where outbreaks of scrapie had been observed before. These findings point to a sustained contagion in the environment, notably in the soil.[37]”
Bon appétit!
They’re great! I’m thinking about getting a second one as a backup, just in case.
In case of what? Too many fries for the first one?
What if the first one fails to proceed in the middle of making a batch of fries? Then what?
Sweet Jesus.
Well remember the mantra: two is one, one is none.
We’ll, I don’t.
(I don’t deep fry chicken either - Who am I, The Colonel? -, but that’s beside the point. )
I wanna see Rouladen in the air fryer
Here in New Jersey elimination of the wolves in the 18th century has resulted in an overpopulation of deer. Yet there are sadly many who oppose the reduction of the herds by killing and some who even feed the deer.
Air fryer obsession…
Kitten…
Are we…
are we… putting kittens in air fryers?
I’m not obsessed by air fryers.
I just think they are a really nice and a practical kitchen appliance to have.
Also, I can stop using mine whenever I want to.
