What is it with every tech company that facilitates a thing claiming that don’t do that thing; they’re just a “platform” for something?
Uber: “We’re not a taxi company, we’re a ridesharing platform.” Except you make all your money from the taxi rides your app facilitates.
Facebook: “We’re not a media company, we’re a technology platform.” Except you make all your money from advertising, you charge media companies to post their stories, and you curate content.
