A beginner's guide to the Redpill Right

It’s disingenuous to try and group a bunch of disparate people into a single collective for the sake of a poorly writ article.

I didn’t even get an 'ology. Due to a lack of enthusiasm for coursework, and a propensity for exams, I failed everything but the sciences and maths. A year earlier, I’d have done O levels, and been laughing. I blame Thatcher.

I’m an anarcho-communist/anarcho-syndicalist/libertarian-communist/libertarian-socialist, and I can tell you that a third to half of the people who did that political compass test will not give a shit about your concern about these issues, if those results are genuine.

I thought I was all in favour of better financial oversight, but snooping. Now I feel dirty… :stuck_out_tongue:

Hello. Welcome to the BoingBoing forums.

Please be sure to call everyone who disagrees with you a “fuckwit” or an “asshole” or a “simpleton” or “half-retarded” or “idiots.”

Oh, I see you’ve already done that.

You’re well on your way to causing everyone to give your ideas all the credence they are due.

The problem is that people are still individuals and research still covers aggregates. CBT is well researched and super-effective, unless, of course, it’s useless for you (my CBT instructor basically told me to stop doing CBT on the third week). EFT might be great, except for the couples for whom it will become the touchpoint for another argument. I appreciate research, but “How do I repair my relationship with my wife” is a very different question than “What methods have proven most effective at helping people repair their relationships.” No amount of empirical research is going to answer the former, even if the terms are miraculously clearly defined.

I recall a story someone told in these forums not long ago about a manager he had who was obsessed with employees stealing. He would check their bags before they left every day to be sure no one was pocketing things. Later, that manager was fired for embezzling. It turns out he was a thief who saw thieves all around him - after all, stealing is what he would have done if he was an employee.

It’s something to think about whenever you are tempted to spout this kind of “wake up sheeple” nonsense. If you think that no thinking person could disagree with you, you are not thinking, you are an ideologue.

And where does Libertarian Communism fit in with this?

Sorry, you’ll have to conform to the conventions that have already been established. Your ideology does not make sense within the existing paradigm, and therefore will be ruthlessly supressed

neat and tidy on the outside, but a mess on the inside. Perhaps it would be better to understand libertarianism as a philosophy that undermines the legitimacy of a Government’s claims to act for, and in the best interests of society.
