If this is true, then we all need to get on those lists. The best way to dismantle them is when everyone is on them.

It’s extremely unlikely that they’d ever give me a clearance anyway, despite my having no criminal record whatsoever, given my past political activities and affiliations. That is a legitimate concern for someone who isn’t already excluded and just wants to keep his head down and have a good career, since, in many fields, including mine, there’s a whole lot of places you can’t go without a clearance.
