Even with the wood and aluminum i think it looks kitschy. I think it might look ok as an accent furniture that doesnt take up a lot of room, but a desk or shelf seems like too much.
That’s really ridiculous and shameful waste, especially considering the quality of those computer cases. Even though the G5 Mac is not useful any more, the case is gorgeous and well made - it could be easily repurposed for a standard PC for example.

Absolutely. I can’t stand Apple, but those cases are worth refitting.
Turn the shelf into a server rack…
