The first time I heard Mingus’ Hora Decubitus, I was hooked on Eric Dolphy. He shined brighter than the great song and arrangement. I can listen to this over and over.
I somehow stumbled upon the Dolphy/Ron Carter album titled ‘Magic’ in the early '70’s. Well named 
Dolphy’s amazing; shame about Hentoff.
