well, duh.
They also sprayed it with safe but foul smelling chemicals and observed similar results. Who knew?
Conversely, the more a painting looks like a salad, the less I’ll pay for it.

All three salads contained the same amount of the same ingredients.
Except for the two or three kinds of dressing used liberally to enhance the “Kandinsky” version that don’t appear to be present in the other photos.
People who would pay more for a salad bien présentée probably indulge in all kinds of conspicuous consumption.
