Those flat topped pyramids have 6 sides - the great pyramid has 5… No comparison!

Pfft. Time has four sides. Why would you need more than that?

Because I want to stay within the Law of Fives.

It is amazing and interesting that you call forth and reveal the image of Anubis :astonished:

Here is a short bio on Anubis, followed by some similarities between the mythical African-Kemtic/Anu god Anubis-- and the myth of “John the Baptist” of Christianity.

Anubis in African-Kemetic/Anu art is depicted as a black-headed jackal with the body of a man. In the myth of Anubis he is the god of mummification and assisting the dead on their way through the Underworld, the place where the deceased soul goes on its way to everlasting life with Osiris or to be devoured and become a tortured soul in the Underworld.

Jackals are animals that will eat animals they have killed, vegetation or carrion. Jackals are intelligent animals, they can differentiate between good meat and bad/spoiled meat. Jackals also will bury meat for later consumption or to hide it from other predatory animals.

Anubis is represented by a jackal because it symbolizes working with dead, decaying bodies while in the process of mummification, burial, and differentiating between good and bad at the Scale of Truth or Justice in several judgement scenes, like “The Judgment Scene of Ani.”-- Anubis’s head is black because black symbolizes death and the darkness of the Underworld, where in myth Anubis rules.

Anubis’s myth as ruler of the Underworld predates that of Osiris who was originally ruler of the Earth. In myth, Anubis is born to a goddess named Nephthys, the sister of Osiris and Isis. Depending on the myth Anubis’s father was either Seth (Set or Setan), Ra or Osiris-- a supreme creator god in Ra–and gods in the case of Osiris and Seth.

In the Christian Bible John the Baptist is born to a mother named Elisabeth, who was impregnated by the supreme Christian creator god.

Luke 1:6–7

6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. 7 And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was
barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.

Luke 1:13–16

13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. 14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. 15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb. 16 And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.

Luke 1:18–20

18 And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years. 19 And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings. 20 And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfi lled in their season.

Luke 1:57 and 60

57 Now Elisabeth’s full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son.… 60 And his mother answered and said, Not so; but he shall be called John.

In the myth of John the Baptist and Jesus, they are related. Accordingly in the myth of Anubis and Osiris, they are related. Mary is the mother of Jesus. Elisabeth is the mother of John the Baptist and the cousin of Mary. Jesus is the second cousin of John the Baptist. As mentioned earlier, Anubis was born to Nephthys, the sister of Osiris and Isis, which makes Anubis and Osiris depending on the myth–father and son or uncle and nephew.

John the Baptist was at least six months older than Jesus. John the Baptist preceded Jesus. Anubis in myth preceded Osiris as Lord of the Underworld.

Luke 1:30–31 and 35–37

30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.… 35 And the angel answered and said unto her, Th e Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. 36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. 37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

Anubis was mythical ruler of the Underworld before Osiris, who in myth was originally ruler of Earth before being murdered by his evil brother Seth. John the Baptist was a forerunner of Jesus and predicted the coming of Jesus; he performed baptisms, prophesied, gave sermons, and encouraged repentance and discouraged sin.

John the Baptist preached the same religious ideology as Jesus. John the Baptist was eventually superseded by Jesus in popularity among the people. In the myth of Anubis, he was Lord of the Underworld, caretaker, protector, and guide for departed souls on their path to everlasting life or to be devoured. Eventually he myth of Osiris superseded the myth of Anubis and became the most written about and evolving religious myth in the history of the African-Kemetic dynasties.

Osiris was originally the ruler of Earth, in one myth he was murdered by his evil brother Seth. Once resurrected by his sister and wife Isis and sister Nephthys, Osiris cannot return to Earth as ruler, so his myth evolves into him becoming ruler of the Underworld. Anubis can be seen In the Judgment Scene of Ani, kneeling and weighing the deceased heart or deeds before Osiris in the Hall of Judgment, using the Feather of Truth on the Scale of Truth or Justice.

Matthew 3:13–17 and Mark 1:9, states that Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. Anubis as mentioned, in myth was associated with the Underworld, embalming, and mummification. In one myth Osiris is embalmed and mummified, with Anubis performing the embalming and mummification of Osiris.

Matthew 14:10-12 states that John the Baptist was beheaded his head was placed on a charger and given to a damsel, who brought it to her mother. Disciples then buried the headless body of John the Baptist.

Matthew 14:10-12

10 And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison.11 And his head was brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother.12 And his disciples came, and took up the body, and buried it, and went and told Jesus.

In the myth of Anubis, he is depicted as a man whose human head has been removed and replaced with the head of a jackal. Anubis’s myth as mentioned, is also associated with death and burial.

The Republican Party far to often, uses religion and religious beliefs as the basis for governing, regarding social issues like same-sex marriage and women’s right to control their reproductive choices.

The Republican Party and it’s current presidential candidates, Donald Trump and especially zealot religious dolts like John Kasich and Ted Cruz, are oblivious to the concepts of religious freedom and separation of church and state.

Twelve more quotes on religion from America’s Founding Fathers: the intellectual and philosophical voice of the American Revolution, Thomas Paine–the 3rd President of the United States, Thomas Jefferson–and the 4th President of the United States, James Madison.

From : 88 Founding Father Quotes That Will Enrage The Religious Right

“Of all the tyrannies that affect mankind, tyranny in religion is the worst.”–Thomas Paine

“The purpose of separation of church and state is to keep forever from these shores the ceaseless strife that has soaked the soil of Europe in blood for centuries.”–James Madison — 1803 letter objecting use of gov. land for churches

"We do not admit the authority of the church with respect to its pretended infallibility, its manufactured miracles, its setting itself up to forgive sins. It was by propagating that belief and supporting it with fire that she kept up her temporal power.”–Thomas Paine

“Strongly guarded as is the separation between Religion and Government in the Constitution of the United States, the danger of encroachment by Ecclesiastical Bodies, may be illustrated by precedents already furnished in their short history.”–James Madison; Monopolies, Perpetuities, Corporations, Ecclesiastical Endowments

“Creeds have been the bane of the Christian church … made of Christendom a slaughter-house.”–Thomas Jefferson — to Benjamin Waterhouse, Jun. 26, 1822

“Ecclesiastical establishments tend to great ignorance and corruption, all of which facilitate the execution of mischievous projects.”–James Madison

"The study of theology, as it stands in the Christian churches, is the study of nothing; it is founded on nothing; it rests on no principles; it proceeds by no authority; it has no data; it can demonstrate nothing; and it admits of no conclusion.”-- Thomas Paine

“On the dogmas of religion, as distinguished from moral principles, all mankind, from the beginning of the world to this day, have been quarreling, fighting, burning and torturing one another, for abstractions unintelligible to themselves and to all others, and absolutely beyond the comprehension of the human mind.”–Thomas Jefferson — to Carey, 1816

“What is it the New Testament teaches us? To believe that the Almighty committed debauchery with a woman engaged to be married; and the belief of this debauchery is called faith.”–Thomas Paine

“And I have no doubt that every new example will succeed, as every past one has done, in shewing that religion & Govt will both exist in greater purity, the less they are mixed together.”-- James Madison — letter to Edward Livingston, July 10, 1822

“Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between man and his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legislative powers of government reach actions only, and not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should ‘make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,’ thus building a wall of separation between church and State.”–Thomas Jefferson — letter to Danbury Baptist Association, CT “The Complete Jefferson” by Saul K. Padover, pp 518-519

From: Jefferson's Religious Beliefs | Monticello

(Jefferson to John Adams). “The truth is that the greatest enemies to the doctrines of Jesus are those calling themselves the expositors of them, who have perverted them for the structure of a system of fancy absolutely incomprehensible, and without any foundation in his genuine words. And the day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the supreme being as his father in the womb of a virgin will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerva in the brain of Jupiter. But we may hope that the dawn of reason and freedom of thought in these United States will do away all this artificial scaffolding, and restore to us the primitive and genuine doctrines of this the most venerated reformer of human errors.”

That last quote isn’t Jefferson. Or rather, only half of it is Jefferson.

It’s fairly easy to tell where the two sources were spliced together, as there are rather pronounced differences in style: everything from “We have solved, by fair experiment […]” onwards is taken from an 1808 letter of Jefferson’s. Everything before that is commentary by the creator of a number of Jefferson-related websites back in the mid '90s.

Thanks, I replaced it with a quote taken from President Jefferson’s “Monticello” website.

@khepra, as you are repeatedly quoting Paine, have you read the Age of Reason (where many of the quotes originate)? If you do you will find that his theory of the origin of Christianity is not consistent with the one with which you started the thread.

No one I know from reading Thomas Paine on religion, would even begin to describe him as a believer.

Paine was assailed and persecuted by Christian believers in America and abroad, after the best-seller “Age of Reason” was published.

That is correct. All I am saying is that he did not believe the Christian beliefs were adapted from African/Egyptian beliefs. He looked instead to the Greco-Roman tradition.

I also seriously doubt he would agree that the pyramids were built by magic.

What thread are you reading?

I never posted anything about the pyramids being built by magic–that’s you saying that!:astonished:

What Paine believed about what influenced Christian beliefs are his own and irrelevant to what many other people believe.

His quotes are sourced to show how one of he most important and influential Founding Fathers, believed that Christianity and all religions are based on fables and fairytales, which is the view this thread advocates.

Semantics. When you bring up things like levitation and “African-Kemetic Mystery System” this is magic. If you want to reserve the term “magic” for something else, then fine. I seriously doubt Paine would agree that the pyramids were built by some kind of mystery system.

Again, what thread are you reading?

The African-Kemetic Mystery System consisted of a wide ranging educational curriculum similar to colleges today.

The pyramids and specifically “The Great Pyramid at Giza” was built by Africans, who were operating on a intellectual and academic level that is beyond our comprehensive today. Some people have and always will have a problem with that-- if they do, they should go out and build a structure like “The Great Pyramid at Giza” which is the only true Wonder of the World.

The Rosetta Stone was not discovered until 1799, which means by the time scholars and historians in the early to middle 1800’s fully deciphered the text, Thomas Paine (1737-1809) and other Founding Fathers, would not have been aware of the numerous mythical stories of Ra, Osiris, Isis, Horus and many many other mythical African-Kemetc/Anu gods, goddesses and stories.

The Rosetta Stone is one of the most important discoveries in history, as the text allowed scholars to understand and uncover the numerous mythical religious stories of ancient Africa-Kemet/Anu.
