My brother was a teacher at a school that incorporated different styles of learning into its curriculum. For example, he taught a course on Optics geared toward artsy-visual types showing the application of optic theory to color and design.

This seems like a good way to explain things visually, and similar exercises could be created to teach these concepts kinetically, even with younger students it would work well - especially well with them.
