I’ve mentioned it before, and it’s a couple of years old now, but if you like the idea, Counterfeit Monkey is a smart text adventure based around the same kind of mechanism that’s well worth checking out.

Or really going old-school, the Infocom text adventure "<a href=“https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nord_and_Bert_Couldn’t_Make_Head_or_Tail_of_It"Nord and Bert Couldn’t Make Head or Tail of It” from 1987, where rabbits became rabbis and similar spelling-meaning changes.
