I was locked up when I was 16 in 1985 and missed the Nintendo revolution. After getting out, I went directly into crime, with what was taught to me locked up. Where I was didn’t enforce a drinking age, and I was regularly in bars and nightclubs by age 17.
Out of curiosity, what’s the Japanese fascination with English words? Why is it “Supparo Mario Brotheros” instead of whatever the same is in Japanese? I’ve noticed the same in both J-Pop and K-Pop. Is it simply from occupation post-WWII? Or does it have some other roots?
