Hmm… Let me see if I got this right. The is the (occasional) love interest of the protagonist of How I Met Your Mother, in a flashback to her younger years as a one-hit Canadian pop star and kid’s show host (who solves mathematical mysteries in her curling stone-shaped spaceship). When she isn’t fleshing out her back story, she’s a journo/news anchor in NYC, and the actress portraying her really is Canadian.
I’m ashamed to say it, I had to look all that up.
hah hah!
We doon’t beliebe you.
Utah Saints featuring Kate Bush - Something Good
Ha! A bit of real Canadian power pop from the '80s:
Corbeau - Illégal
Those “sing-along” versions are weird. They’re not the original footage from the movie, and the rendering quality isn’t as good [don’t ask how many hours I’ve spent in a Disney store with the babbies whilst waiting for Mommy TOO MANY].
Aaaaand, since the song appears in the film in its entireity – why not use the original footage?
It’s Disney – cross-unit licensing issue?
You’re right though I was curious to read the words. I’ve never actually watched the film yet . . . .
