Wonder if he was just the drop point? There easily could have been two or more pickpockets working the tent along with him. Sometimes it works better that way (I’m told).

They definitely need to add “gets to hang out on Reddit” to the recruitment posters for the Indio Police.
Almost certainly the drop man for a wire mob, I’d say. There could have been a dozen dips, stalls and shades.
I learned that jargon from a James Coburn movie, I don’t really have any idea what I’m talking about!
