I suppose it’s possible, but my uneducated guess would be that corpse gas bloat would result in more of a rupture type event than a violent whole-body explosion.

I should show that to my wife. It’ll give her some perspective on the one dead mouse we found in the basement (after which she made me buy 15 mousetraps, and we haven’t seen or caught a single mouse since).
