The truth really will come out. They cannot stop it indefinitely.

The word botched here sounds kinda like “mistakes were made”

Maybe instead

Three undercover cops broke into a home and killed everyone inside.

In legal jargon, this is called ‘serving a warrant.’

Somewhere here on the BBS, this kidnapping was brought up. I can’t find the post now, but here’s a gofundme for legal fees and other help.

Looks like Oregon governor Kate Brown negotiated a withdrawal of the DHS goons from Portland by promising to bring in State Troopers to protect federal buildings. FPS units will remain, but will stay inside the buildings.

I’m not sure how I feel about that. On one hand, getting rid of the goon squad is good. It remains to be seen if replacing them with Staties will help the situation. I would hope Brown has already given them clear rules of engagement regarding use of force and suppression of protest, but the wording of the OSP superintendent was not encouraging.

Still missing is Ted Wheeler’s spine to stand up to the PPB and defund them, as per the protesters demands, so we can expect the protests to continue for the duration.

When a gang member gets a teardrop tattoo for each of the people they’ve killed it’s seen as the sign of a violent sociopath, but when a cop keeps score in a similar manner it’s a sign of someone who is “tough on crime.” Sick, sick, sick.

Much like the frantic cries about how Seattle was under siege with CHOP when it was really just a few city blocks.

It’s not even getting rid of them, more like redeploying them to another city. The whole thing is so fucking gross.

Yes… and they’re coming to my city.

I’m scared.

I don’t live near the protests. But I’m still scared.

We have primary elections in early August, and since I missed the deadline to request an absentee ballot, I’ll have to vote in person. I’m wondering if they’ll be scoping out the voting locations, if they’ll try to interfere.

I’m still going to go vote. The fear won’t stop me.

But I’m still scared.

Two points: Governor Brown’s office commented that the Feds were ready to leave Portland, didn’t object to leaving.

Also, there is a bunch of drama within the Wall of Moms as the nominal leader “went rogue”, filed for nonprofit incorporation, essentially stabbing local BLM leadership in the back. Said leader has been kicked out by rank and file, but the group is in disarray.

ETA: sorry, meant this to be a general reply, not a reply to you, @GulliverFoyle

Not “Trump’s goons”, NYPD.

Apparently the “crime” used to justify this arrest was “putting stickers on surveillance cameras”.
