Anybody seen any updates on this story? I had heard this guy was a hard core MAGAt, but this seems like corporate suicide.
And by saying that vague, entirely useless statement, he’s going to start losing his hard core racist base.
Police union now actively seeking cops that were fired, resigned or even jailed for misconduct in other departments. This is going above and beyond even for Florida.
Fuck that shit. Destroying statues glorifying white supremacists doesn’t “erase the past” any more than a shitty remake of your favorite childhood movie can retroactively ruin it. People won’t forget the atrocities committed by these people with or without statues glorifying them.
It’s worse than that, even. The statues, monuments, and fucking Jefferson Davis & Robert E Lee elementary schools Are meant to be a perpetual means of intimidating African Americans. Tear them down, except for the schools, which should be renamed for MLK, Malcom X, Frederick Douglass, Rosa Parks, etc. etc. etc.
