Oh, you and your silly facts. Don’t you know those require effort to understand? And they don’t fit nicely on a bumper sticker, either. We need RAGE!! And words of one syllable or less, please.

So, the numbers show that increased spending on police does correlate with lower violent crime.
To be clear, I don’t believe that ballooning police budgets reduce crime, but looking just at these numbers you could argue that 1993 was the point where funding was enough to turn the tide on violent crime. If I were police chief, I would certainly make the case that decreasing violent crime is a sign that huge budgets work.
I just saw those graphs myself and had the same immediate reaction. It doesn’t seem like the most compelling argument against it.
(I don;t support it, it’s just that the graphs may not be as helpful as they seemed.)
More like “reduction in 1980’s CIA-driven cocaine trafficking correlates with lower rates of violent crime”.

And speaking of drugs…
It’s so insane that the Ku Klux Klan
- Is still a thing in 2020
- Is still conducting racist acts of terrorism right out in public
- Is still not classified as a terrorist organization by the United States Government
But yeah, “ANTIFA!!” is the real threat here.
Apparently the government can’t actually designate domestic groups as terrorist organizations. Which makes Trumps declaration of antifa as a terrorist organization all the more dumb.
Hm.
I’m not sure, but I’m fairly certain that no one has said that Covid-19 isn’t dangerous… Nor did any progressives deny science when talking about the protests and the ongoing pandemic.
Yep.When you get right down to it, both “The Right” and “Progressives” have decided at different points it was worth risking their lives and others to protest during a pandemic.
Progressive protesters decided reigning in a corrupt and systemically racist police force that straight up murders and brutalises people was important enough to step out of their bubbles despite the risk.
The Right’s protesters decided money, and their freedom to get dye jobs, hair cuts and go to the bar were the most important things ever.
I wonder if IBM’s history with categorizing people for ill ends on behalf of fascist regimes has anything to do with this decision…
This happened in late March but USA Today decided to shine a light on it
Does anyone know what is going on in Seattle?
