Lots of fireworks in Philly lately too. People were speculating all sorts of things- the Feds- ATM’s being blown open around town - it’s just fireworks.
We live in “the hood;” even my kid has been able to tell the difference between the sound of fireworks and the sound of gunfire since she was about ten.
Whatever it was that I heard during that first week of unrest, it was not merely somebody’s barrage of M80’s.
“ The street was named after Taney in 1858. The southern portion of the street runs through Fitler Square, while the northern portion stretches from Fairmount to Brewerytown.
Taney has come under fire for writing the majority opinion of the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1857 decision in the Dred Scott v. Sanford case, which held that African-Americans had no standing in court because they were not and could not be citizens—even if they were free.”

This is not the first time this has been attempted.
Taney Street is also known for the Taney Youth Baseball and Mo’ne Davis.

“ the first girl to earn a win and to pitch a shutout in Little League World Series history. She was the 18th girl overall to play, the sixth to get a hit, and the first African-American girl to play in the Little League World Series. She was also the first Little League baseball player to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated as a Little League player.”
Cowards.
I had to check. This is a most wonderful person!
I was just visiting a friend in a row house section of my City & she was complaining about this. Right on cue a neighbor set off a mat of firecrackers- then a few M 80’s. Her poor puppers.
July 4th is going to be something else this year.
Three weeks.
Fucks sake
Etihad = Manchester City FC, who were playing against Burnley yesterday
I wanted to believe that my bad memory of the NF recruiting outside Turf Moor in the 90s was a thing of the past. At least Antifa are active in Burnley, and a lot of neutral Burnley fans are pissed off about this too.
There is a reply suggesting it was also flying over Goodison Park for the Merseyside derby. Hopefully it was without the fashy message.
He’s still going…
