Stewart helmed The Daily Show a little too long, got a little burnt out, and then Trump got elected, after Stewart publicly thanked him for running because it would be so hilarious
So now Jon has some mixed feelings about his own legacy
So it’s not like I think, oh, my God. You know what’s missing from all this? Me. Like, I don’t think that at all. I am a true believer in the non-efficacy of satire. But it’s what I do. It’s what I make. And I certainly don’t believe that the conversation has suffered from a lack of me.

Enjoyed is too strong a word but i think the montage C4 news put together before their interview with Claudia Rankine is worth a watch. As well as the rest of the interview. Usual VPN/geo blocked content disclaimers apply.

Well THIS explains a lot:
Exactly like the article says: we’ve been getting delay notices that turn into ‘going back to the sender’ notices.

They also did this during the first two months of the pandemic. We had many of our shipments returned to us because FedEx chose not to attempt deliveries at businesses. This despite the fact our customers’ businesses were either open or there was someone there accepting deliveries.
We spoke to our FedEx rep and she told us it was a local FedEx hub decision. But this? This is just plain discrimination and I bet someone at corporate won’t be very pleased.

Things like this make me wish customers could choose the carrier. Some companies keep that hidden until it’s too late to change. Hopefully, the USPS and UPS are still working in those areas. FedEx probably still uses “contractors” to make deliveries, too.

I’m sure he’ll be saying BLM protesters will need to be held away from other “detainees”; perhaps “concentrated“ in specific locations.
