Yeah, survey methodology is everything:
5WPR’s survey found that:
- 38% of beer-drinking Americans would not buy Corona under any circumstances now
- Among those who said they usually drink Corona, only 4% said they would stop drinking Corona, but 14% said they wouldn’t order Corona in a public venue
- 16% of beer drinking Americans were confused about whether Corona beer is related to the coronavirus

Oh boy, do I love people who make assumptions about the intelligence of others based on their choice of drink. Yes, I know, all in good fun. Corona is mediocre, but hardly the worst thing to drink on a hot day with lime, and if you must, hot sauce. I certainly won’t judge you for tipping one back.

Were they drinking beer at the time they were asked the questions? Then you could just say “16% of beer drinking Americans were confused…”

Statistics can be true and still say all sorts of stuff.
For example, I can guarantee that more than 2% of Corona beer drinkers have died. But still a lower than the percentage of people who have drunk water.
