I see what you did there.
We’ve found Matt Gaetz’s dealer, everyone!
Um…perhaps someone should test his customers for STD’s.
This is Big Pharma behind the prosecution, they just didn’t want the stiff competition.
No need. The Villages has the highest STD rare in Florida.
Wha—what do you mean the law applies to us? To us?
“I’m an old man. I’m confused! I thought I paid for it. What’s my name? Will you take me home?”
Seems like a stand-up guy, not your average working stiff. But who knows, maybe he’s just a prick.
$10 a pop!
That’s 180 erections!
Kincer is facing a charge that could lead to a year-long stint in federal prison
Can’t they just give him a stiff fine instead of busting his balls?
Don’t be so hard on some poor schmuck just trying to be an upright member of the community. At a mere ten dollars he’s practically working pro boner.
Probably his age will be taken into consideration, but if he gets an overly firm judge he’s not out of the woods yet.
It doesn’t seem like something to do hard time for.
All jokes aside, this seems like a weird place and weird product for a black market.
These are prescription drugs, but not scheduled; and at least the common ones are off patent and have generic manufacturers available; so this whole thing could have been completely legal (and potentially covered in part by insurance, depending on your plan) with the most cursory of consultations from even the dodgiest prescribing physicians(as well as the ones that a lot of older people are presumably seeing periodically for other reasons as it is).
Am I underestimating the price gap between FDA-approved generics and the real mystery pills? Is there some sort of weird cultural phenomenon that makes scoring viagra from your dealer acceptable but seeking a prescription shameful? Is this retirement community sufficiently old, on average, that it doesn’t get bombarded with the ads for various ‘telehealth’ providers that specialize in…customer service oriented…consultation and prescription of drugs that people would prefer to be able to get without needing to actually see a doctor?
Someone just mentioned in an AA meeting I was in the other day, that The Villages has a greater incident of STDs per 1,000 residents than any other community in Florda. Probably not true, but this story gives me pause!
Old people screw like bunnies. So, no, this makes complete sense.
Source: My grandmother-in-law lived in an assisted living community for the last five years of her lives, and it was like high school there.
Why would people need to buy the pills illegally? Don’t you just have to tell your Dr you need them? It’s not like they run tests to check.
I live in The Villages, no TV does not have the highest STD rate, not even close and No, no one is talking about this guy.
It must be a slow news day.
That’s a hard case to… backup.
Might have something to do with the Medicare/gap insurance situation, the “donut hole”. Certainly generic ED meds are cheaper than 10 bucks a pill, but they might not be covered by Medicare or the gap insurance.
Guy sells $1,800 worth of narcotics and the media doesn’t blink an eye. Florida Man sells $1,800 worth of boner pills to his neighbors and suddenly the media can’t get enough of it.
