I don’t think any of that would fit into the chassis of the remote, but thanks for the advice.

Use SMD parts. Buy a cheap stereomicroscope and the work with those becomes Easy.

I pick and choose my battles. Buying a stereomicroscope and spending a bunch of time rigging up a timer to the wireless remote in hopes I’ll get it to work and not trash the remote in the process isn’t worth it to me timewise. It may not give me “maker” street cred, but I’ve got bigger fish to fry.
