Surely there is a way to visualize pi that does not involve my pizza getting cold.

In middle school way back when we used string, several plastic lids, and a ruler. Our math teacher had us find the ratio of the diameter and circumference of the circles without teaching us about Pi before hand. It’s one of the things that has stuck with me.

The next step would be to get some small pies as well to show that the ratio stays the same even if the area changes…
