This is the most genuinely horrifying Tales From The Crypt story I’ve ever seen.
A serial failure with daddy issues is recruited to play a successful businessman on tv, and on the strength of the editing for his show convinces the American people that he should be president. Having no real intelligence, education, or drive, he spends his presidency sitting around watching tv, gabbing on the phone with his pals, and playing with his phone. When a deadly national crisis finally occurs, he does what he always does: takes it personally, but aside from that, goes slack. Hundreds of thousands of Americans die and continue dying.
Waiting in the wings is Ebola. a virus that kills most of its victims. We are doomed.
