There is I think a fine line between informed optimism and false optimism. The latter I think can discourage necessary introspection and housekeeping. Keep in mind that it literally means “to optimize things”, NOT to lazily assume that things should turn out well regardless of what you do.


The greatest satirist of this movement is now a US Senator.
