OTOH, you could fairly call me a pessimist as well. I was never an optimistic sort, and my current situation isn’t one that promotes a cheery outlook. I’ve been playing Cassandra here for quite some time, and I haven’t been proven wrong very often so far.

But in defense of that perspective:

So: optimists and advocates of hope, have at it. Where do you see a path to a better world? How are you going to stop reality from squashing it? What is your plan?
