And, defiance.
Great courage, but I can’t see this going well.

And follow up
Pete Davidson’s “Hey look at what a loveable fuckup I am! I’m doing nothing to help myself and failing upward!” character that he plays in everything is boring as fuck and SNL won’t miss him at all.
The quality of the entire show drops substantially without Kate McKinnon in the cast.
Despite the U.S. being one of the wealthiest, technologically advanced nations in the world, the crisis in women’s health remains because of a lack of research and systemic misogyny.
There is too much in this article to quote, as it covers a variety of topics regarding the state of women’s health and healthcare, but basically the US healthcare system is failing both cis and trans women.
A reminder of some of the other Constitutional rights women aren’t allowed to have:
Lowe, 65, told church members Sunday that he had “committed adultery” and wanted their forgiveness. Moments later, a woman stepped to the microphone and said the pastor had a sexual relationship with her when she was 16, according to video.
“It was 27 years ago, not 20. … I was just 16 when you took my virginity on your office floor. Do you remember that? I know you do,” she said as Lowe stood nearby.
Church members stood and applauded Lowe. After the woman’s extraordinary remarks, a few dozen people walked up to encircle and support the pastor while another man led a prayer.
Did anyone hug the victim?
Unknown, but I doubt it.
Probably not. She caused her own rape, after all.
/sssssssssssso much /s - is it really any wonder abusive people are so attracted to a petty, cruel, vindictive invisible father-figure? They don’t give a fig about that Jesus guy and his hippy-dippy teachings.
Sadly, they encircled and supported who they thought was the victim. They’d have to acknowledge the woman was a person to even remotely consider the possibility that she was the real victim.
Here at home, Ms. Pane and I are lamenting the departure of McKinnon and Bryant. Two absolutely great comedians. McKinnon, for us, was just this huge ball of energy that could explode at any moment. She had a “Lucille Ball meets Lenny Bruce meets Robin Williams” thing going that had us in tears in almost every sketch. Bryant had a really subtle comedy that we just loved, and it often seemed like the show wasn’t sure what to do with her.
Pete Davidson leaving is kind of “meh.” Until his NFT sketch, and then Staten Island, he didn’t seem like he had any talent to give the show, and he wasn’t someone we paid much attention to.
McKinnon and Bryant leaving . . . . damn.
Agreed. I like him well enough, but McKinnon and Bryant are excellent. They’ll be missed on the show… but at least Kenan is still around…
The show loses two of who could be argued are among the best ever to be on SNL (and happen to be female) and two of the worst (who happen to be male), and yet who got pride of place in the final show and who is being covered by most of the media?
What Kenan Thompson and McKinnon and Bryant hadhave/ that I love is that they always seemed to be having a ton of fun. It just looks like they’re having a good time.
ETA:
Even at his best, Davidson looks like he’s barely trying, like he’s phoning it in. In the NFT song he looked moderately engaged, but even that was debatable.
FBI investigates itself, finds it did nothing wrong. Can’t say I’m surprised, but I certainly feel sorry for the victims the FBI failed.
