Same. Building at the edge of a cliff just doesn’t sound like a good idea, no matter how many assurances the building, state, or “independent” inspector give. Building a $900K home just seems to be larding on the folly.
As I learned in 8th grade earth sciences: cliffs erode. That’s how they appeared in the first place.
The Salt Lake basin has a distinctive bathtub ring where debris (scree) fell into lake bonneville and formed a flat shoreline. People build their fancy homes there because it is flat and close to the hills but the soil is unstable.
Based on those videos, the houses were not even finished yet. Enough exterior aspects were yet to be done that I would be surprised if they had valid occupancy permits.
