I hope she down-ranked him on the dating app.
Upcoming true crime biopic: Swipe Right for Murder
Soon to be a major (or not) motion picture.
On the card were gruesome images and videos of him killing other women, and she turned him in after what must have been a terrifying week of thinking about it.
It must have been horrible for the woman, especially in that there seemed to be factors at play that prevented her taking the card straight to the law.
Why did she wait a week?
Is evidence obtained by stealing it admissible in court? If so, I’m surprised that cops don’t hire petty thieves to collect evidence in cases where they can’t get a warrant?
They were probably trying to suggest that she might have obtained the footage elsewhere and then copied it onto the stolen memory card to frame this suspect. Not an especially plausible-sounding defense but I guess you work with what you’ve got.
Unhappy thought: Why did he bring that memory card with him on the date?
Probably there was still space on it, and the night was young.
She’s lucky, very lucky. Taking that card likely saved her life.
Most likely out of fear.
And shock. And the desire to disbelieve (see also: shock).
“No, there’s another explanation. There has to be another explanation. I sure there’s a reasonable explanation. Isn’t there?”
This kind of shit is on “Law and Order” every week
although this guy sounds more like one of the over-the-top supervillains from “Criminal Minds”
When ya know ya got nuthin’, and gotta throw somethin’ out there anyway…
Next Chapter: plea deal.
Maybe debating whether she would be believed. If she brought it to the cops and they ended up doing nothing but bringing it to the murderer’s attention without actually arresting him, she would be in immediate danger. And cops have an unfortunate history of ignoring women’s pleas for help until it’s too late.
This is why I record all my serial murders on xD-Picture Card or Sony Memory Stick. There aren’t three people left on the planet who own anything that can read that shit.
I have heard enough stories of PSP collectors getting porn on their handheld gaming devices to believe that Memory Stick is truly dead.
Who could read these stuff?
