In other news, Obama still hasn’t responded to the Carmen Ortiz or Steve Heymann petitions and the 4 year term as US Attorney for Carmen Ortiz ends on November 9th. Unfortunately, due to Bush era politics (the dismissal of US Attorneys scandal), a US Attorney has an indefinite term until a new successor is appointed, even if the term is expired. So Obama can simply ignore the issue and let her serve for 4 more years and destroy more lives.
