I think it would be worse if he, as Dr. Peter Hutchinson, were publishing erotica about his students. Because, googling your professor, you’d find it.
It is bad enough for a former student to have ‘“recognised” herself in the pages’ years later. Imagine having to go to class with the guy the day after reading about his fantasy version of you.
