But we’re Agile, and delivered MVP! We have an “add security” story in our backlog, and our product owner hasn’t prioritized it yet. Certificates are hard, so we will implement SSL later. Nobody’s really abusing this anyway. We don’t have to be PCI compliant, so we don’t need encryption.

I’m sure I missed a few there, but that covers most of what we hear.
