Everyone on the internet is a bot except you.
The “dead internet” thing is slowly morphing from a conspiracy theory into dystopic reality as the global enshittification surges.
Came here for this, was not disappointed
42% of web traffic determined to be bots is less than earlier research has found. The bad news is that it’s AI scraping the web, not Asian traffic farms clicking on it, and these AI bots are much harder to detect and differentiate from humans
Sooo… it’s probably more than 42%, then? Possibly a lot more, depending on how unwarranted the confidence is of the researchers who think they can distinguish the bot from the human traffic?
maybe this could spell the death of clickbait and absurd metrics to define website success?
OK, I know it won’t, but I can hope.
Or are you trying to say that YOU are a bot?
A comprehensive grasp of the intricate interplay between inauthentic behaviour and content scraping is pivotal for determining the level of metric pollution.
